Mahesh film shoot interrupted
Shooting of Mahesh Babu’s latest movie in the direction of Trivikram was interrupted today by the Telangana activists. Mahesh Babu’s film shoot was taking place at Anantagiri, outskirts of Hyderabad. Shooting of Allu Arjun’s Varudu was stalled yesterday and Mano Manchu’s latest film a day before that.

Producer takes out Arya 2 film
Producer Aditya Babu has voluntarily taking out Arya 2 movie from all theatres in Telangana following strong agitations in Telangana region. He said that he would re-release the movie when turmoil subsides and normalcy takes place in Telangana region.

Gentleman and Kasko on 25 December
Posani Krishna Murali’s Gentleman and Vaibhav’s Kasko are going to release as per the schedule all over AP on 25 December on the eve of Christmas. All the big films of Telugu film industry (Leader, Adurs and Namo Venkatesa) are postponed to 7/14 of January 2010 due to Telangana tussle. Posani Krishna Murali stars and directs Gentleman. A Kodandarami Redy produces Kasko with his son Vaibhav as hero in the direction of G Nageswara Reddy.

Manchu Manoj unit attacked
The unit of Manchu Manoj’s latest film in the direction of K Raghavendra Rao was attacked by TRS activists today morning at Kompally, Hyderabad. Lakshmi Prasanna is the producer of the movie. Manoj Manchu, Brahmanandam, MS Narayana, K Raghavendra Rao and Lakshmi Prasanna were present at the location. The camera and other equipment was destroyed. The house in which the shooting was taking place was also partly damaged.

Adurs postponed
Producers of NTR’s Adurs decided to postpone Adurs release date from 25 December. They will re-assess the situation on 21st of December and declare the final date of release. Adurs will be releasing with highest number of prints all over the world.

Leader obtains clean U
Sekhar Kammula’s latest movie Leader got censored today and is awarded a clean U certificate without any visual cut. However, the censor board has directed the director to alter a couple of dialogues. This movie introduces RaNa as hero. This film sports Priya Anand and Richa Gangopadhyay as heroines. Udaya Bhanu has done an item song. Leader is likely to release on 31st of December 2009.

Fight master Raju is no more
Veteran fight master Raju who worked for several films (especially 80’s and 90’s) died due to cardiac arrest in a private hospital of Cheerala. His last rights will be performed in his home village Vetapalem (near Cheerala). His first movie was Kiraayi Rowdilu. He choreographed stunts for 100’s of films in Telugu and Tamil. Apart from composing fights in movies, he also did a few guest roles (Dabbarekula Subbarayudu in Rakshasudu movie) is one among them. May his rest in peace.

Dil Raju is producing Maro Charitra along with his friends on Matinee Entertainment banner. Popular cinematographer Ravi Yadav is making his debut as director with this movie. Varun Sandesh and Anita (introducing) are doing main leads in this remake of K Balachandar’s classic Maro Charitra. This movie completed a schedule each in USA and Vizag. A couple of songs were shot in Dubai. The last schedule is going on in Hyderabad at present. Music will be released in December and film will hit the marquee in the month of January. Micky J Meyer composes the music.

Saleem postponed
Announcement of Telangana followed by mass resignations of MLAs and MPs has created political uncertainty in AP. People are no mood to savour movies as they are glued to news TV channels to see emotionally charged political leaders are announcing resignations. Keeping this in view, producer Mohan Babu has decided to postpone his latest movie Saleem (Vishnu, Ileana – YVS Chowdary) till further notice. Saleem is not releasing on 11 December. Watch out this space for new release date of the movie

Shooting of Allu Arjun’s latest movie Varudu is going on at a brisk pace. Guna Sekhar is directing it. The climax fight between Allu Arjun and Arya was shot for 15 days in action choreography of Stun Siva recently. A new girl is being introduced as heroine through Varudu. 100 real families acted in this film. Shooting is complete but for two songs and some patch work. Music will be launched in the month of February. Varudu is all set to release on 26 March as summer special.

Vishnu Manchu’s latest movie Saleem got censored and obtained U/A certificate. This movie sports lissom lass Ileana paired up with slimmed down Vishnu for the first time. Mohan Babu produces it in association with Big Pictures. YVS Chowdary directs it. Saleem is all set to release on 11 December.

Nagarjuna is in Greece now to shoot for a song in his latest movie Kedi. The government of Greek has felicitated him and hoped that such song shootings will give more exposure to Greece as a tourist destination and get more visitors. He was participating in a chase scene with bullet-ridden SUV that has goons followed in four open-top UVs. The shooting location was Trident Hotel that had a dreary terrorist attack last year. Though they had police permissions, a group of cops appeared from nowhere with guns pointed at Ram and others thinking that they were terrorists. The local cops intervened and cleared the issue. FICUS obtained the USA and Canada rights of Pawan Kalyan’s latest movie Puli. Producer Singanamala Ramesh confirmed the same to idlebrain.com. SJ Suryah (Kushi fame) directs it. The shooting of this movie is going to brisk pace and will be released in the first half of 2010.
